20 years ago, in the 2nd grade

In September of 1991, I entered the second grade at P.S. 193 "The Gil Hodges School." My teacher was Mrs. Berrenberg. A running assignment throughout the school year was a journal in which we had to write a few sentences and a corresponding illustration. These are scans of each entry from 20 years ago, in the second grade.

“After school” For some reason, any time I mentioned a party in this journal I never provided information on what the occasion was.  I suppose to my mind twenty years ago, whatever was worthy of a party was well known enough to require no explanation.  Also a likely candidate is that my laziness prohibited me from putting in the effort to explaining why a party was held.
